Annoying !!!

My dad had a24hr ecg done back in June. His cardiologist wanted it to check out if he has heart block. He is 80, has a metal aortic valve and is on warfarin. His GP requested it. The result came back to GP a week later who forwarded it to consultant. The consultant had said he would inform my dad of the result. He has heard nothing! I have chased his secretary about 5 times and she says there is a backlog. How? GP can’t comment on it as consultant requested it. He was supposed to have a 7 day ecg and echo as well at the hospital but these are not happening because of restrictions. Any ideas? What are they doing?

Yea, Know how you feel considering your dad like me is in need of immediate information regarding all tests he's had done. I have contacted directly the Heart Specialist's secretary regarding my condition and I get a phone that rings and rings and rings....no one there. If I ever find out why, I will let you know. Good Luck.

They are not on Holiday they are just not Working as they should! In my honest opinion they are working off an outdated Risk Assessment written at the Height of the Pandemic!!

The NHS has become a Risk Averse Organisation a Hospital should be one of the Safest Places in the Country so why are they still almost Shut.

It is almost beyond belief, if they the NHS and the Paymasters the Government don't get a grip soon the waiting lists will be 3 to 5 years long, and a lot of people will die waiting for the NHS to open

I read the other day this Negligence is starting to border on Manslaughter, Sick people are being ignored to protect the NHS from what, Sick People .

My rant over Sorry but I do believe they are now not performing a Service they are paid for. I have written to my MP I suggest everyone should do it.

I was told a Holter Tape is read using software, only if it shows something unusual/urgent is it then checked manually

This is such a sad situation. The number of people whose life is cut short by becoming ill at the time Corona virus became front page news will never be known. And yes I speak from personal experience. In March I added kidney failure kto my heart failure. (Stage 4) but so far i have not seen or spoken to a consultant nor had an ultrasound. So the diagnosis is confirmed by blood tests and ticking all the boxes for symptoms but no treatment until I know what is wrong with my kidneys otther than they are failing. Because this pandemic is universal you can't take a trip abroad or go private you have no choice but to wait and hope.

I live in Devon and I'm pleased to say that I've had my ultrasound 10 days ago but im waiting for results. Complicated as ultrasound done at one hospital and consultant at another.

I have had to go private because waiting lists on NHS are awful used all my savings.
