Be very very careful with this drug, I was prescribed it by my cardiologist as it is deemed very good for the heart & diabetes. However, I ended up in ITU in diabetic ketoacidosis due to it.

Birmingham, if you are prescribed it just keep an eye on your ketones. It lowered my blood glucose very effectively and all appeared normal blood sugar wise, it was only when I felt absolutely wretched my ketones levels where investigated and found to be through the roof.

I wonder how it would work with me - I dont have Diabetes but I do have heart failure.
