You’ve already established the problem here and with your previous posts, and all the evidence you’ve been provided and posted about on the forums suggests it’s most likely not your heart. I’m not remotely medically qualified, and I would therefore hesitate to diagnose anyone with anything, but you acknowledge yourself that you are extremely anxious and there is a condition specifically called health anxiety. It’s where you experience severe, sometimes crippling and life interfering anxiety as a result of often unfounded concerns about your body and/or having a serious disease. The heart is often a common concern for people with health anxiety because of how vital it is to being alive, but unfortunately, anxiety of any kind can and does manifest as symptoms related to heart problems such as chest pain and palpitations, which then only reinforces the anxiety that there’s something seriously wrong. It’s a vicious circle.

The only answer to health anxiety is to get help for it professionally. Cognitive behavioural therapy can be extremely beneficial for some people. Some find medication can help in the shorter term, particularly if their anxiety is more generalised, but the bottom line is that people on a forum intended for those with physical heart problems aren’t going to be able to fix this for you. If you’ve had all the tests required to ensure you don’t have a heart problem, and you have also been reassured by both doctors and other people with the condition that your past PDA is not of concern, then you need to deal with your anxiety.

Charlie G writes such a helpful reply. Do get counselling. Some counsellors have been working right through the pandemic, using Zoom.
