Been taking them for 2.5 years to manage SVT. No issues at all with them of any sort, and it seems like they manage the arrhythmia even better than bisoprolol did.

Was you on bisoprolol before going on to verapamil charlie? As ive switched over also straight from 1.25mg bisoprolol to 120mg verapamil how did you change over?

So mine was an odd one, in that I began having major problems with bisoprolol. Had been fine for years, even at 10mg a day, then suddenly found it began slowing my heart rate down too much. Got to a point where if I took 1.25mg on a Monday, I’d have a day of really symptomatic bradycardia, good hr on a Tuesday without anything, and then be really tachycardic and all over the shop on the Wednesday. I was literally taking odd 1.25mg doses here and there throughout the week to try and balance it all out whilst waiting to be seen for review. They couldn’t explain why it was happening, and just swapped me straight over. Some days it seems to lower my resting hr more effectively than others, but overall it’s been a good change and I have no complaints (beyond wishing cardiology would show a bit more interest in what’s been going on not related to the SVT 🤷‍♂️).

Hi, I've been taking Verapamil (for rvot ectopic beats) oh I cant remember, around 7 years now. No problems, except the first day of taking them my heart was racing most of the day. Also when I first started them I was prone to constipation for a time, that stopped though. I take one slow release tab every morning. (though short supply of that now means this prescription I've been given the half does to take 2 a day - presumably both together at the same time)

I had been on Verapamil for years for high BP I thought. After heart attack 4 years ago was taken off them and put on 7.5 Bisoprolol. I had no problems at all with Verapamil.
