I had a heart attack mid February this year. Hopefully the first and only one. I've noticed that my voice has changed since starting on the heart meds. My voice is now gruff a bit like a permanent sore throat but without pain, and I have difficulty singing.
Anyone else had this problem?

I'm on Lansoprazole 15mg, Asprin 75mg, Bisoprolol 1.25mg all taken am, and Ticagrelor 90mg morning and night, plus Atorvastatin 80mg and Ramipril 1.25mg.
My enjoyment of singing is not classical haha (although I do like a bit of choral music). Usually it's randomly along to the radio or cd often when I'm driving.
Thanks for the info. As far as singing goes I seem to have lost the lower side of my register. Also I should remember to drink more water as my throat does feel dry at times.
My GP didn't assume my problem could be due to side effects of meds.
I might add that prior to my heart attack I didn't have a need to take any meds.
My GP is considering any other possible medical conditions first so I've had a chest x-ray last Thursday and I am being referred to an ear nose and throat specialist.
I have had a similar experience, I used to be a professional singer many years ago, and since I started taking heart meds had a gruffness in my voice, and kept losing my voice.
GP changed the ramipril for Losartan and have had no voice problems since.
I know that ramipril can cause a cough as well, but I did not have a cough, just the huskiness in my voice and throat very dry.
It might be a good idea if you had a word with your GP.
