Heart Rate readings

Hi

I am on Apixaban and have blood tests twice a year. Before I go I do my BP twice aday for a week, I also record my HR. which is usually quite low. When I went last week the nurse saw the readings some as low as 46. she then told me that the BP monitors are not acurate and should do it manually I have a A&N plus machine and have never been told this before. Does anyone else have this problem

Regards to all

Hi Sorry didn't reply earlier didn't see your post.

I have only ben told that during periods of Ectopic Beats (some I don't feel ) I should take my pulse by counting and using my watch. In Hospital they would take it manual if thy thought the Blood Pressure reading with Heart Rate didn't look right !! I can be well below 46 and no one seems overly concerned !!!

It may be worth just doing a quick check the old fashioned way should you get a really odd reading !!!

Thank you for that. When you buy these monitors you expect them to be fairly accurate..
