Breathlessness

After advising a recent Poster on here to get checked out by a cardiologist! I want to pose the same question (Hoping someone will have had experience and put my mind at rest) - Hoping to avoid calling cardiac nurse or 111 as have a telephone appointment on the 23rd of this month and was going to mention it (And a million other things!) then.

Had a HA some 4 weeks ago and now have 3 stents fitted (In one Artery) - Prior to the HA, reasonable level of fitness and fairly active person.

I now find that I get breathless for no apparent reason. Sometimes I get a bit out of puff if walking or doing some form of exercise, which I kinda expect (I am doing a minimum of 10000 steps a day, at a fairly leisurely stroll) . I am wondering if this is fairly normal after having these issues and procedures (On about 6 different drugs as well which I guess could be a factor) - Also seem to have a fairly constant "Uneasy" feeling with niggles and tweaks in and around chest area (Sternum/Shoulders/Back) - Not exactly painful, but uncomfortable and can tell something is/has occured (Could be all in my mind as can't trust that anymore either! :) )

Hoping someone will tell me this is all perfectly normal and not to fret so much :)

Thanks

Carl

Hi Carl

I have a different cardiac problem to you but I would say that the 23rd is a while off and it's relatively recent you had a HA. It may well be getting used to meds but I think you should call your cardiac team before the weekend, set your mind at rest. Don't ignore your gut feelings. Take care x
