Hi rye back. A heart rate of 57-59 is normal. The shortness of breath could be a number of things. If you had a HA then yes it would be normal. If you’ve been given new medication then perhaps its that. You could ring the cardiac nurses?

Find a flat path and start a regular walking program , nice and easy to start with, about ten minutes out and ten minutes back. The catch is you will need to do it every day to get your circulation going.

Have a look at your diet and your weight as well so that you can try to address the causes that caused your arteries to clog up in the first place?
