Loosening of wire!

I have had a conversation regarding the pain I'm still suffering 19 weeks after quadruple bypass. The surgeon is talking about an operation to snip some of the wires as I get a great deal of pain after exercise. Anyone else had this procedure?

Hi, that sounds a bit drastic! im not sure how the wires would be linked to pain during/after excersise, but what do I know! I would hazard a guess at the pain being around your pectoralis muscle where it attaches to the sternum? I would reduce intensity of any pushing excersises and use a hot water bottle afterwards... helped me... HTH

Hi thanks for your reply, I have tried cutting back on exercise and now mainly down to walking. I'm at 19 weeks since a quadruple bypass and was hoping to be back to a more normal life however still painful nights and days.

I'm really hoping the surgeon will give me something more positive.

Kind regards

Keith
