Microvascular angina chest pain

I have MVA with vasospams and have had a few months with very little symptoms so thought this is great I'm cured, and now all of a sudden it's back and I've been having tight squeezing chest pain on and off since Tuesday the pain is bearable and the same as I've had before but I'm so fed up. Just waiting for my GP to call me back, so feeling nervous and the stress is making the spasms worse trying some deep breathing to calm down.

Oh no I’m so sorry, if you want to let me know how you get on, massive hugs, be strong, it’s so hard not to get a wobbly chin when you’re upset and want to get your point across.

I know how you feel, my day isn’t great either so empathise night time.

Biggest hug, take care 🤗🤗🤗🤗

I feel like that lots Sunshine brew, you go ages and then its back, you can't understand what you have done differently. I get really frustrated 😞. Hopefully the doctor will give you some help. Let me know how you get on. Thinking of you, dont forget to breath and please stay calm. X Sheena x

Hi Sunshinebrew

I am sorry to hear you are going through a challenging time.

I rarely go a couple of hours without some chest pain. I have got used to it. However when I have alot of pain I get frustrated because I am limited in what I can do.

The conditions can be so unpredictable and very tiring.

The chest pain and breathlessness start out of nowhere and I just think where did that come from!

Maybe keep a diary of your symptoms and activities including any events around you that could be stressful.

One of the weird things for me is that I can exercise or be exposed to stress without problems then I get hit with alot more chest pain later.

This delayed response is a common feature of MVA and Vasospastic angina.

Rest, try some meditations or other strategies to manage your anxiety to help turn down the 'volume' of your symptoms.

You may need your medication adjusting so hopefully your GP can refer you back to a Cardiologist to be reviewed.

I hope you feel better soon.

Yes I'm the same I can do things like a bit of gardening and walking and then get the chest pain later and stress is a definite factor it's all so frustrating though but I'm getting better managing it I think and there's loads more awareness from the medical profession

My GP sent me to A & E to be assessed but it was fine and I'm home now with an increase in medication

Hoping to feel much better soon and glad to be home
