I would talk to your pharmacist, they are often better able to advise on drug interactions than GPs. Mine is a great help when I want to know what I can take with the mixture of drugs I’m on.
I also have back and hip problems and was prescribed paracetamol and codiene, but then GPs were told not to prescribe paracetamol, so I’m now prescribed codiene (cos it’s higher strength) and have to buy paracetamol over the counter. Stupid thing with that is that I used to be prescribed 100 tablets at a time but can now only buy 32 paracetamol at a time over the counter!
Hope you get sorted.
