I don’t understand 90% on my discharge notice. The simple ones are HR heart rate, BP blood pressure , LBP Low Blood Pressure but may be written as hypotension, AF Atrial Flutation and AFib Atrial Fibrillation. I just get in a taxi from the hospital and go home then read it. Hope that helps

Well done. They forgot hypotension i.e. low blood pressure and the major cause of collapse. Could had added PoTS as well. I have been wrongly diagnosed with both. Knowledge is everything and this forum is getting us there

You an add to the post. It could probably do with merging everything together and reissuing.

One I find amusing is HONK (hyperosmolar non-ketotic coma), a rare condition in diabetics.

Back in my early nursing days ( 1970’s) I worked in a childrens hospital and the docs used an unofficial diagnosis FLK. It meant funny looking kid... they used it when they knew something was wrong but had not figured it our yet.

It took me 6 months to research 700 papers on collapse and 12 collapse admissions. My research papers are on Apple books. Together with knowledge share we can defeat heart deseases. Not being able to get up the stairs and not being diagnosed is not acceptable
