Could it be a valve?

So, my gp and my consultant tell me my symptoms "just don't make sense" and that they done all the usual tests etc etc....which they have, but I am still getting nightime palitations. I have had these for over 4 yrs, every bloody night . They are single hard thuds and they are getting worse....they feel like my heart is jumping or like a rush of blood through my heart. I have had every test under the sun and I am on the usual meds, beta blocker, aspirin, statins etc..but nothing works.....so my latest thought is could it be a valve ? I know I have mild mitral regurgitation , but my docs says so does half the population, and if was a valve I would have other symptoms which I havn't. Has anybody had experience of valve trouble and what are the symptoms...I am clutching at straws I know but this is seriously hacking me off. Thanks...
