Heartburn is a bit of a misnomer as it's got nothing to do with the heart but is a digestive complaint. But the pain from heartburn, which can be severe, feels like it could be heart related because the pain is in the chest area. So it's important to sort out whether the symptoms are cardiac related or digestion related. A good GP should be able to get to the bottom of what's going on.

I agree with dunestar re getting this checked out , especially since you are a woman & heart symptoms differ for us . What I thought was heartburn turned out to be angina & led to a HA. I have not had it again since having stents.
