Hi

I had a heart attack 6 months ago and a balloon was inserted. im getting very anxious about this covid 19 especially given that I work on a psychiatric ward where we have covid 19 patients. Am I more at risk ?

Hi. There’s some great advice from the BHF here: bhf.org.uk/informationsuppo...

A heart attack + angioplasty doesn’t mean that you’re more at risk of getting Covid-19 but you are at high risk of complications if you do. The advice for you (as it is for me) is to stay at home except for essential needs or work if you can’t work from home. I’d talk to your boss and see if you can be given work away from your patients who have the illness.

Good luck.
