NHS Volunteering

Well I am stuck at home so I thought I might as well put it to good use. I have just signed up for the NHS volunteer scheme as a check in and chat volunteer as I don't have to leave the house. Feeling useful 😊

Great idea!! How do you do this? I was just saying to my sister I would have been first to volunteer for shopping etc before I had been diagnosed and that I was feeling a bit useless...it makes us all feel better if you feel like you’ve helped someone - that’s the helpee and the helper feeling better! Win, win!! xx

If you volunteer for a job that involves driving (delivering meds, taking someone to an outpatient appointment, etc.) please check your insurance carefully as you may not be covered. It would best to check with your insurance company.

Yes you are quite right. I have just gone for the phone volunteering as I am stuck iat home. It's nice to be able to help I some way
