Hi Anne

Here is the latest information from the BHF regarding vulnerable heart patients

bhf.org.uk/informationsuppo...

Stay safe and well

If it metioned 'respiratory' then it is covering heart conditons.

It's a single word that covers a multitude of sins...

I had a telephone appointment with Cardio NP on Friday (instead of face to face) and seh went at great legnths to make sure I was self isolating, and doing so to the point that:

Our next door but one neighbour asked if there was any chance of a lift to the shops because home delivery was ll booked up etc. and my wife had to say no. Have spent a few years without a car, we are fully appreciative of some one is such a situation - but it really hurt to have to say no. Best we could offer was - send us a list of your needs, when my wife goes to the shops she will get any of them she can and drop them at the front door for her.

Make no mistake, for those with heart issues, Covid 19 is a serious threat if caught.

I've had my aortic valve replaced in 2012, have hypertension and AF but never had any respiratory problems

So, the Mayans did not predict the future for you too accurately then? Glad things are still ticking along.

As for me, well it's a case of who is fit enough to perform operations, but it's the same boat as everyone else.

Another truism from a character in a post war Scottish radio programme the

Mac Flannels. You've never died a winter yet.

Hi ahk59

Please see the NHS advice

Social Distancing

gov.uk/government/publicati...

Self-isolating for 12 weeks with serious health conditions – see the section headed – If you are at high risk

nhs.uk/conditions/coronavir...

The final bullet -have another serious health condition is at the moment a bit vague, the best advice is to wait for the next week, until 30th March to see if you receive a letter telling you that you are in this category, do not contact your GP in the meantime to see if you're in this category as this will swamp the surgeries
