I know it’s stupid, can’t stop this Coronavirus spreading, and I’m prepared to be housebound, have been so for a few weeks post heart op, but 4 months! I think it’s because it’s on tv or radio the whole time. Gosh I’m missing the rugby!
I’ve got some hosp appointments coming up, maybe they can be over the phone, as I’ve had echo etc.
Guess I can do some turning out of overcrowded cupboards and drawers, and at least if we have garden, can get outside. So guess it’s look for the positives!, and be grateful haven’t got it now!

Some good suggestions. As in all news programmes be it discussions on terrorism, Brexit and now Covid everything is on a 24 HR loop. It's good to be informed but perhaps try googling or watching the latest news twice a day to avoid feeling overloaded. I recently found my anxiety level increasing when watching Sky News while having breakfast and decided to swap channels and watched CH4 8.10am - Everybody Loves Raymond an American family sitcom. It took my mind off it all and drew some interesting family parallels. Just a random suggestion but distraction can be a good therapy.
I only came back from holiday in Spain 3 days ago so had no opportunity to replenish stocks. Went to local pharmacy to collect my repeat prescription and asked if they had any sanitiser (how stupid of me) of course they had none. I remember that article about making some with rubbing alcohol and said 'have you got any alcohol' I felt like an alcoholic looking for a fix when he offered to sell me surgical spirit but said not to take it internally!!! Lol. So it's 90% proof and tomorrow I will try making some using some aloe Vera gel I have 70% alcohol 30% aunty Vera gel. So if it works make me an offer hehe
Were the the shelves being wiped put in Spain or is that just a UK phenomenon? My nephew is currently on lockdown in Spain.
Our pharmacy said they don't sell the rubbing alcohol and to try the on line selling site! She did ask if we were making our own sanitisor do don't think we're the first to ask!!
May negotiate on the gin/sanitisor issue in due course 😂
We stayed in an apartment for 3 wks in a quiet residential area of Benalmedana. We had already decided to eat in most of the time so regularly shopped in a nearby large Supermarket comparable to say S'bury. There was no panic buying even though at that stage Spain was already ahead of UK in number of Covid cases. Chatting to taxi driver though last Thurs he was telling us that people were starting to bulk buy rice and pasta but not toilet rolls - he laughed and said 'you just wash'. I think things have moved on since I was in Spain and there are now queue s at Supermarkets like here. Spanish people are far more laid back than us with differing priorities but at a later stage they panic of course like anyone here. We used to visit a lovely coffee shop and sad to think all of those places are now closed with the devastation to incomes that wil cause.
Maybe your creative side will triumph. Of course we could open our windows for 30 minutes on a balmy evening and sing like the Italians - what song though? maybe Hey Dude or for the cultured Nessun Dorma
