I am in a similar position to you Tilly and will be interested in other people's thoughts. I also had endocarditis and was told to be very careful about all infection. I also work in health care so there is double whammy. It really is a very scary and uncertain time. I hope that your manager is being supportive and understanding - this will become more difficult as things get worse.
I would say yes you are. Your employers should be making sure you are safe- speak to them.
