National Bed Month

Every month seems to have something linked with it these days ; give up alcohol for a month, give up chocolate, give up sprouts, etc.

However, March is National Bed Month and you don't have to give up going to bed. In fact the aim is more to get a good night's sleep. Here's the link:

Perhaps I should have an extra 30 mins lie in tomorrow morning.😊

Today is World Book Day 2020 -and the final part of the trilogy about Thomas Cromwell - The Mirror and the Light by Hilary Mantel was rather appropriately download to my Kindle today - been waiting 5 years for this book!

When I was sent pictures of my great nephew it looked more like National Fancy Dress Day. I think it sad that books and reading are being hijacked by supermarkets promoting fancy dress!

And it's Sport Relief next week, so families on lower incomes are having to pay out for that as well.

Why,? If you haven't got the money, why make yourself out of pocket?

😗🤔

Peer pressure - you can't send your kids to school without an appropriate fancy dress for book day, or t shirt and accessories for Sport Relief, or they'll stand out and be bullied. That's the sad world we live in.

Ha ha, love it! 🤣😂My husband and I have been discussing getting a new mattress recently as our current one is getting a bit creaky. Perhaps this month is the month!😀

Hi, thought it was going to be give up changing the bedclothes for a month, just hate doing it, cripples my back, disappointed now.

Since the HA a year ago I seem to have given up sleeping more than a couple of hours at a time, used to sleep all night but now seem to watch a lot of rubbish TV in the small hours. Has anyone got a solution for a good nights sleep?

Hi 447510, I do read a lot of books but the only thing with reading in the middle of the night in bed I have to wear my reading glasses and the if you doze off the book slips and smacks you in the face and you are wide awake again.

I have fond memories of Book Day when it first started:

1. Desperate parents who sent their sons to school in their pyjamas and dressing gowns and slippers carrying a towel (personally I always believed they overslept and had thrown their kids into the car straight from the breakfast table)

2. The father who dropped his child off wearing full Batman outfit (he hadn;t realised the day was for the children.....)

3. ditto the father dressed as James Bond (and using the voice of Sean Connery)

4. Loads of little girls with backpacks and binoculars

5. The teacher (20s) who got into the spirit of the thing and turned up in twinset and pearls carrying knitting and was asked if she was "pretending to be a real teacher" (oh how we laughed....)

Then it became a race to the fancy dress shop and something of the spirit of the day was squashed..... too many Harry Potters!

A good nights sleep in short time. Get a microwave bed. 11 hours sleep in 3 minutes. 😂

Hi Micheal I don't like the sound of national sprouts day, I can't stand the bloody things. I think yesterday was all idiots day at our house. Hope the wound is healing a bit better now. Take care.

A bed is a place where you spend a significant part of not just your day, but your life. Because a third of our entire life is devoted to sleep. Needless to say, such a place should combine all the important characteristics and make your sleep healthier and stronger. An important point is the shape of the bed itself. A rectangle is considered a classic of bed business, this option suits the vast majority of people. Those who are looking for non-standard options will like a round bed, but it is worth realizing that it is larger than other types. If you are trying, on the contrary, to save space, then consider the option of built-in beds that fold into a wall or wardrobe. We found a cool bed on paydaydeals.com.au/collecti... and I think that you can find a cool sleeping place there.

Not what you're looking for?
