First appoitment?

Could someone tell me how long you have to wait for first appoitment with the cardiologist after having a heart attack and 2 stents?Thank you!

hi.. my husband had 2 stents although no heart attack.. wasn’t seen again by Cardiologist but by Cardio rehab nurse in Cardiology dept.. reason being that the surgeon at the Golden Jubilee hospital has carried out the appropriate procedure and my husband felt the benefit straight away👍.. don’t know if things are handled differently in your area

I had my weight and blood pressure checked. Then discharged to care of cardiac rehabilitation team and GP.

Hi there

I had 2 stents fitted 2 weeks ago and yesterday the rehab nurse told me it would be 6/8 weeks to see the cardiologist and if all’s well then they will sign me off back to my GP. Not sure if this is generic through the UK though

Hi, it depends on where you live. I was luck I had stents 6 mths ago, saw cardiologist 3 mths in and again next month,

My husband had a HA in early Dec still waiting for an app, they put in the discharge letter seen in 3 months

I have never seen a cardiologist since stenting in hosp but my results were reviewed & I was discharged by a cardiac nurse after 3 months

Hi. i had HA 11 days ago with 2 stents fitted. I was told i’d have a follow up with cardio team 8-10 weeks later. (to have a treadmill test)

However rcvd letter from them yesterday and they have given me a date of End June. 18 weeks after.

I had my HA and 2 stents back in August. My 1st appointment with the cardiologist is next month. I suppose it depends on what region you're in but it seems Manchester has a backlog of heart patients to get through!

I never saw one after heart attack and two stents. I went back for a pressure test on two more part blockages which a cardiologist did but he didn't speak or tell me anything. I think it's normal for hem to just fix your plumbing then send you to cardiac rehab. I was just pased over to my GP

I had 5 stents fitted not all together the first time it was 3 month after this time I was told 6 month it been 3 month since me second lot (3)and the cardiac rehab team have just rang this morning to arrange an assessment and rehab in 2 weeks time
