Side Effects of Statins

Has anyone had problems with their teeth and/or gums while taking Statins?

What exact problems? I actually posted recently they had found statins reduced gum disease and peridontitis:

I haven't read your article yet........but I actually have gum disease, and am wondering if Statins have made it worse!

When I was first prescribed statins I was put on Simvastatin. This caused some shoulder aches and a friend and a diabetes' forum recommended CoQ10. It was very expensive and totally ineffective. I spoke with my GP and he changed me over to Atorvastatin and problem sorted.

We still do not know the exact nature of OP's issue so it is hard to comment further.
