I second what Rose54 has said, it is a minefield. Definately speak to the citizens advice and ask what benefits you would be entitled to. Also have a look and see if there are any disability charities that could help with completing the forms, advice etc
Hello Honeybee sorry to here life is difficult at the moment. As Rose and Lezzers say Citizen Advice are excellent but can be be difficult to contact as they are so busy. You could take a look at the Moneyadvice site (link att) moneyadviceservice.org.uk/e...
Lots of info on the site and you can also ring them and do webchat
You can find your local Citizens Advice by going on their website citizensadvice.org.uk and putting in your post code and popping in for a benefits check, or there is a link on the benefits section of their website where you can do a benefits check yourself. Good luck.
We have a dedicated "disability advice" centre in Ipswich, and they really are a god send.
They helped us fill out all the forms etc and explpained how it would all work.
Could not help but make a donation when the money came through - because like you we would have bene clueless...
Thanks have looked but nothing in my area ...like that that I can see , we went to CAB they where absolutely useless and not a clue...came out even more confused than before we went in ...😳
Sorry to hear of your bad fortune. Would definitely give the Disability Rights helpline a ring - because the information is out there and i would things are a bit brighter than your current concerns leave you to think they are.
