Hello and welcome to the forum! Are you thinking of going private? And whereabouts are you?

Basically if you are asymptomatic you are unlikely currently to get much more than bloods (cholesterol, HbA1c, U&Es, etc.), BP and resting ECG. If you go privately I would suggest bloods, BP, exercise ECG, echocardiogram and CT scan. Cost around £1400.

Wonder if it's worth considering. My GP was only interested in BMI, BP, cholesterol and HbA1c.

Speaking from personal experience I have to say it is definitely worth it. Peace of mind is priceless and more so is something being found that otherwise wouldn't have been.

Yeah did and stupidly left it 5 days as I thought it was reflux and couldn’t get doc appointment ...Pulmonary artery was blocked initially had a clean then a month later to stents is on first check out was too damaged ...

I’d like to know how my heart is doing now as I get breathless issues ...thought I’d ask in case someone could recommend somewhere to go 👍🏻

Much better but slight overuse of "and".

I think Y posts via a non-qwerty mobile. The edit functions on those little chocolate bar mobiles are practically non-existent - punctuation, back-space to delete a misplaced letter or word, more just next to impossible to navigate. Top that with those ridiculously small screens so redundant wording is unseen until too late. But if it's the only way Y can post in, we just have to be understanding of the limitations. It would be great if Y had a smart phone but not everyone can or even wants one.

I gave up my BlackBerry when I retired (August 2010) - they gave it to me but I was so tired of getting 'Sorry to bother you but...' calls and 'urgent' emails from my former staffers that I pulled the battery and let the subscription lapse. A move I find myself regretting as I do miss the superb functionality of the BB for on the go 'Net use, and wow the ability to use it for supermarket lists was, well, WOW. I want another smart phone now but I tried some models out at the 'yodafone' shop (spelling intentional) and my Essential Tremor makes using those slidey things too iffy.

I. Miss. My. BlackBerry!

I don’t think this forum is to teach people grammar it is to try and help and being nice to other people who have similar health issues

I went private for my initial diagnosis as wasn’t getting anywhere with GP (told me it was muscular pain). Referred me back to NHS once realised i needed treatment.

That's what I was told for 2 years then had HA. I had 2 stents fitted and told I had two more blockages in LAD around 69%. Since then nothing and a refusal to test again. I want to know what's happening to those other 2 blockages. Have the meds reduced them or are they getting worse?
