There is currently an offer on for the rest of the month (I believe but may close earlier or later) where if you take out an annual subscription to the Telegraph you get a free Fitbit. I do not read newspapers everyday and my Waitrose loyalty card gets me the occasional one for nothing so I will not be taking up. But it may interest some...

Hmph! When I subscribed years ago the only 'reward' I received was an unlimited digital package to go with my print copy - I would have liked a FitBit (an unheard of item at the time).

I have to laugh about these 'rewards' for subscribing to something. I got a toaster when I opened my first bank account (in the USA and I was ten so my step-mother ended up with 'my' toaster).

The annual sub for the print version is now £598!!! When I first subscribed it was something like£90

I switched to the digital only (unlimited including premium) in 2018 and just walk down the newsie on Sunday morning if I feel like the Sunday copy now. The digital pack is £125pa, and yes, my husband grumps every April

I used to subscribe to the Telegraph, but cancelled the subscription when I retired as I found I no longer that the time to read it all 😊
