Slight occasional clicking in sternum

Hello, I am a 59 year old male the had heart bypass surgery 4 weeks ago. I didn't have a heart attack, but found 4 blockages after a stress test. I am doing pretty good, but I have noticed a few times a very mild click in my chest, but only when I cough. I have read on this site that this is common. I just want to make sure that the cable used to put my sternum back together is holding well. Thanks for your input.

I had the odd click for best part of a year. Don't worry about it unless it hurts.

Had mine 7 years ago and recall something like that. Went after a while and as well as time goes on you get more confident with acknowledging different feelings in chest as insignificant as you are recovering and getting stronger. Unless you recovery has stalled I think it is normal.

Very nervous after my op worried the wire would come lose! When I saw my surgeon for my check up after my op they took an X-ray and he was showing me how my heart looked I asked about my sternum and he said after 18 months my sternum would be stronger than his! Try not to worry I know it’s easier said than done but things will get better.
