I have been diagnosed with diffuse extensive 3 vessel disease and scheduled for bypass surgery in ten days time. Would like to hear of how successful others in a similar position found the surgery to be. Thanks.

I haven't had this ( I had valve surgery) but with 3 vessel disease bypass is definitely superior to stents.

I f you are anxious about the surgery do phone the BHF nurses.

Medication and lifestyle changes are also very important, and cardiac rehab afterwards is a great help.

All the best with your operation
