I’ve just used an app called Olio. You take a picture and press the go button and someone locally sees it, sends a message they want it and they come and pick it up.
Ah those Waitrose Mince Pies are in someone else’s tummy now! Alice picked them up within an hour of me posting them. Probably works best in urban areas.

Here's a thought - for all those out there who are planning a dry January you could put all your gin (or whatever you have a stash of) on this site and that would remove the temptation of relapsing during January. Any takers? Arrh go on!
Just take it to your local foodbank would be my solution. The number of them around the country seems to grow and grow. Now, I must not get political, I must not get political ......
If you do give to a food bank you can Google and get a list of the items food banks like. Some are a bit surprising! Worth checking before donating.
I don't need an app as I have a sister who does the same thing. I got a lovely box of french chocolates which she took home with her along with some cake!
