Severe lv: Has anyone been diagnosed... - British Heart Fou...
Severe lv
There is no right answer as it depends on numerous factors. Caught early, treated and with appropriate lifestyle changes many HF patients can have a near normal lifespan.
One thing that is not beneficial is constant worrying which seems to be affecting you. See your GP as he should be able to arrange counselling or another therapy like CBT.
If you had no symptoms, Yas, then how was it diagnosed? What led to the tests?
It is odd that it should be 'severe' when you have felt fine. I think you should feel very tired and breathless. perhaps with swelling ankles and an irregular heartbeat.
Hello
I think I am correct in saying there are a couple of classifications for Severe HF !!
A Low EF can be described as Severe and the other one can come from the NYHA scale of 1 - 4 which comes from how you are affected doing Routine tasks HF with preserved ejection fraction is how it is sometimes described.
Personally I can go between Moderate and Severe
I would think currently if I was assessed I would be classed as moderate on the NYHA chf-solutions.com/heart-fai...
