Asked to stop taking my beta blockers for a stress procedure, went the day before to have a ultrasound and pulse rate at rest was above 150. Kept in hospital until the pulse rate was below 100.
I thought my pacemaker controlled my heart rate between my parameters set by the technicians, since found out the pacemaker only controls the lower setting

I am told the pacemaker will only control my low heart rate and I will have to take beta blockers or some other med to control my high rates, the typical tachy-brady syndrome that many afib patients have.
