Hi EvaMolly

Is there anything in particular you like to know?

Well, to be honest, I took my mother to see the cardiologist when I was first diagnosed, who quite bluntly asked how long I had left, (thanks mom) anyway, he did say that I would have a dramatically shortened life span, do you think that that's possibly the case, as he did also tell me that it was rare to find this condition as most of the time, if discovered at all, it was discovered postmorton. Gee, it knocked me sideways, and as times gone on, I've started to become quite reserved with life, I was always life and soul and now I struggle in some circumstances, often being quite anxious.

I am sorry to hear that the Cardiologist spoke to you in that way. Cardiologists are human beings and are not always as upto date as they should be about all the latest research.

There is no certainty in life ( except as Michael says taxes and our mortality)

Many of us here live with heart conditions that effect our quality and length of life.

Heart patients frequently have to live with the emotional pain of coming to terms with all their physical issues. Anxiety and depression rates are high.

Have you spoken to your GP to tell them how you are feeling and ask for some more psychological support?

To be honest, it thought it was just me being silly, so I haven't spoken with the gp about how I feel, now you have explained that it's common for people with conditions like ours, I don't feel like I'd be wasting the GPS time discussing with them, thank you! You've certainly taken some of the anxiety away with thoughts I was wasting anyone's time 😊

Not what you're looking for?
