Being pre-diabetic but hoping to reverse this (all markers going the right way) I have browsed a number of diabetic forums. Heart disease seems particularly prelevant amongst diabetics which is something I am trying to avoid and why I joined this forum although obviously there are numerous other factors (including the unquantifiable luck). What had struck me that on all the forums there are quite a few people pushing LCHF and anti-statin agendas. I do wonder if these are the same people using multiple identities?

Hidden Agendas

I often wondered about it myself.
I stopped going to a few, including HE forum.
Quite amazed by it.
There are some people, who are actively "pushing" for Vegan diet as well.
Vested interest? I wouldn't be surprised.
It seemed this goes well beyond "sharing their interest".
It's a little more like "commercials" repeating on different forums.

Just to add to the confusion there is the HCLF diet too.
There is some research that suggests that we need to eat a particular diet that suits us as an individual . It's all about our biome.
