Hi Everyone, hope your all OK? Three weeks ago I was changed from Nebivolol back to 2-5mgs of Bisoprolol due to being very very breathless. For the last week to 10 days the breathlessness has come back, which is quite worrying, I can just about reach the top of the stairs without having to stop but once at the top have to take several large breaths. As for going to the gym, well I used to love going but the last week or two can only do the treadmill for 5 Minutes at a slow pace, the only thing I can do is the bike and managing 7 miles in half hour, don't get breathless using this! Also, I have not had a cigarette since my MI'S which is almost 6 months ago, this iam proud of, could it be something like COPD? I really don't know who to turn to for advice, GP. Doesn't seem to listen or is fed up of me moaning! Do I go and see a Cardiologist? mine discharged me in August, so I would go privately to see one, if I thought I would be taken seriously. I just have no quality of life at the moment and feel if the worst happened, people would say" she said something was wrong with her" I feel this is what's going to happen..Would appreciate your views, thank you.

Breathless and struggling.
Thank you, just feeling as though I can't go on any longer, iam so fed up of feeling a burden to my amazing husband, not being able to be the happy wife, mum and Nanna I used to be. Sorry, just fed up being me.
You could ask your GP for a spirometry test to see if it could be COPD.Same symptoms for both heart and lung problems.I have both and inhalers help.Good luck.
Don't struggle. Seek professional help. You need answers. Best of luck x
You could contact the cardiologists secretary. I did that nearly a year after being discharged and he then saw me again.
Hello I'm sorry to hear you're feeling so breathless, and you must go back to the GP to let them know. It sounds as if your condition is getting you down at the moment and I sympathise because I have felt the same, it's not just the physical symptoms but the effect on our wellbeing also, talk it through with your GP you're not moaning just reporting symptoms that have gotten worse and need investigating.
Try to keep positive and as active as possible with the breathlessness, I practice meditation and mindfulness which helps when I'm feeling down, and helps me to focus on what I can do.
Take care
Hi Redsea, keep going back to the nurse go or whoever. My hubby became breathless and we kept going back , eventually he was really bad one Sunday afternoon and we went to our local A and E instead. One of the triage nurses spotted that his ankles were slightly swollen and she detected a slight noise in his chest - he was put back onto diuretic tablets immediately and some his other medication was changed. He was much better the next day and has continued on a low dose diuretic since.
Don’t give up, there is a solution somewhere.
Best wishes, Jane
am so sorry for your condition, that was the same feelings I started having since 2009 and most doctors I met back then in Nigeria gave me wrong diagnosis and wrong medication, until the symptoms escalated in 2017,and i was later diagnosed of non compaction cardiomyopathy heart deases here in Germany,am still battling with it till this day,I was given bisoprolol and ramipril, please try to visit a cardiologist,to help u diagonised your condition for a better treatment now that is still in early stage,I wish u safe recovery.
You have had a change of medication but your symptoms have returned. Sounds like a very valid reason to me to go back to your GP.
Hi, my friend has a similar condition with breathlessness and her doctor has prescribed a Ventolin Evohaler even though she does not have asthma.

What is the most important information I should know about bisoprolol?
Hi Redsea, so sorry that your symptoms are troubling you. Breathlessness is scary.
I have become breathless over the last few months ( I have a very scarred heart from MI) and have had to increase my medication, with problems with side effects.
If your medication is not helping you it’s completely fair to return to your GP. I’ve found that making a short list of my symptoms and questions and giving that to GP can help me feel more in control.
Good luck.

I have been breathless recently and my cardiologist said it was probly bisoprolol so I am going to doctors next week to see if I can get something else why did they put you back on it
Like Picass I get breathless very easily and most likely caused by the Bisoprolol. But other beta blockers make me sleepy.
