Hi again everyone

This is another ECG of mine some hours later. Again, it was during one of those hot flushes. I've never been afraid, but have to admit that I feel that way .... until I get some reassurance from the NHS of course, but from anyone else out there .... I would be so grateful if you could help put my mind at rest and/or please share your experience? Thank you so much.

Thank you Jo. I had the ambulance in May, when I was breathless and felt I was going to pass out. Fortunately for me they left the ECG behind. I took that the following week to the Consultant and it was on the strength of that, that she arranged the Angiogram. She was about to push me aside until I produced that ECG. It's left me feeling that it's all a matter of 'pot luck', who reads/identifies what on the day.

You've certainly been through it Jo and I'm so glad you're getting the care you deserve. The care varies throughout the country and in my area, there were 7000+ NEW heart referrals last year. You can imagine the strain on the services that are there to provide the care. I think there are 7 or 8 consultants, so it's pretty easy to imagine their workload just on one year alone. You are of course right that women's hearts are different. I just have to keep pushing, but the staff overall, are stretched to the limit. I think it fair to say that that's the reason so many of us have to turn to the charities and their forums for some help/reassurance. You've been very kind Jo, so I'll wish you all the best and thank you.
