Yes I get very hot. It could be because I’ve put on a lot of weight so the doctor has put me on a weight loss program. She says it’s the statin I’m on. Atorvastatin is notorious apparently. I was on 80 mg but it’s been reduced to 40 mg. I’m hoping to cool down soon.

The statin makes you hot or the statin makes you gain weight? I’ve been on 80mg of same statin since end of April and lost just over 2stone so far - am I suddenly going to get a horrible shock?!

I thought I was just about getting back to normal then bloods were all over the place in the hot weather and I was quite depressed about it. I had a lot of water retention and had to buy a big fan as I was so hot. My GP said everyone’s bloods were off during the hot weather but they’ve all gone back to normal now. However my body doesn’t like heart meds and the statins don’t like me. Hence the weight.
