Cardiomyopathy

My husband has recently had his results from his heart MRI. He has been diagnosed with mild to moderate cardiomyopathy! We are not quite sure on what type yet until we see his cardiologist in November. He regularly sees his heart nurse for blood pressure and kidneys as he has to up his medication. Has anyone else been diagnosed with this or heard about it please? He is 32years old.

Hello, my husband has DCM. He was diagnosed a couple of years ago at the age of 54. It was all a huge shock and we knew nothing about the condition.

Have you discovered the Cardiomyopathy UK website? It’s really informative, they have an information pack they can send and local support groups. They have life stories on the website too, which are helpful. Here’s the link
