My GP said I have an ageing heart proberbly need a pacemaker and did an urgent referral to consultant but the consultant decided I wasn’t urgent case and secretary says it will be about 5 months wait to see consultant I would like to ask if the consultant had a look at my 24 hr ecg along with letter from GP before he made his decision anyone any ideas please .

Can the GP refer you to another consultant? That might be best rather than try to get the GP to challenge the decision of the consultant. I would imagine the GP would be reluctant to do that.
