Congenital Heart Disease in adults

Hello everyone! I wanted to know if other people had experienced symptoms of light headedness, and exhaustion. I have Transposition of the great arteries and as I approached my late 20’s (now in early 30’s) I started to notice that after walking for around 2 hours I would feel dizzy. In the past year I have been feeling unusually exhausted in the middle of the day for no apparent reason, even on days where I have done little activity. I wanted to hear from other people with congenital heart disease especially TGA what there experience has been. Thanks for reading :)

I suggest you contact the Somerville Foundation, which is the charity for adult congenital heart patients.

thesf.org.uk/our-community/

They have a helpline, a closed facebook group and meetups.

You need to make sure you have lifetime follow-up in a specialised adult congenital heart disease clinic: these generally have a nurse advice line.

All the best
