Zopiclone and svt

Does anyone know if a small dose of zopiclone can interfere with ectopics and Svt. I find it difficult to sleep so I occasionally take zopiclone 3.75mg. I do not take beta blockers only atoravastatin. I declined an ablation last october for my Svt, I could not tolerate Bisoprolol but the doctor seems reluctant to change to something else so I carry on. Age 72.

Hello Delythn,

I think this is a question for your cardiologist or at least your GP. I was in hospital recently with end stage heart failure and given low dose Zopiclone every night. I was then transferred to another specialist hospital and told it was too dangerous for me to take it due to VT. Personally I wouldn't risk it Delythn; best check with a Dr first.

Thanks for your reply! I do not feel the same 2 days running,good and bad days so I,m trying to find a reason. I go 4 days without taking zopiclone but tend to fall back on them again, I get bad ectopics some days and feel very tired more physically than from lack of sleep. I will endeavour to stop taking them from now on, I,ve only a few left anyway. I see on this forum people much worse off than myself, it gives me a lot of reassurance.
