My RCA was completely blocked, and I had an angioplasty inserted. I also have some stenosis of the LAD & LAX. I'm not concerned about any of these, but I did have an echo done before discharge, and was told I have some dilation of the aortic root.
I wondered if anyone else has/had it, and what it could possibly mean for my future, etc.
Thanks in advance for replies.

Hi, I was diagnosed with a heart murmur at 16 and eventually had my first AVR at 52. During that time I also had progressively worsening aortic root dilation. When the did my AVR they were also going to look at my aortic root and, if necessary, replace it, but in the end they wrapped it. I had my second AVR 18 months ago and my root was still fine.
I think it will depend how dilated the root is. They only operated on mine once it got too bad, and f it hadn’t been for the root they may have left the valve op a bit longer. Hopefully they will be keeping an eye on you - I’ve had yearly checks since I was 16. I doubt they will do anything until it gets worse and that could take years. Hope this helps.
