Hi everyone, I am after a little advise as I am worried about my dad.
He had his quad bypass 10 days ago and has been staying with me for the last 3. He has been ‘OK’ a little pain/discomfort very breathless but was managing our 15 stairs making a small breakfast etc...
About an hour ago he became dizzy, lightheaded, bit of headache, jelly legs and could not make up even half the stairs!
Is this something to worry about, has anyone else had this or should I call the doctor out?
He is fast asleep in the chair now.
Thanks in advance

At the very least call the GP or if he has one his Cardiac Nurse. Are you able to check his blood pressure, as his BP might be low .
Ring the ward ,they will have given there number on discharge especially if he was fast track then you get the fast track nurses number .
The brilliq medicine makes you breathless for first 3 week or so on top of the fact he's had major op and probably not got full lung capacity yet etc .
Week 6 is when things improve ,but always ring ward or GP before asking on internet is my advice for any serious concerns.
Check heart rate too , it can get a bit racey and if a relax doesn't lower it then you need proper help .
Mine raced a few times but always simmered when I relaxed for 10 mins
Check his heart rate - if its racing call 999. Otherwise I suggest you call the cardiology ward (where he had the op). If you cannot get through try 111.
