Once you have had your surgery and recoverd can you return to normal working hours ie if your a hgv driver can you get your licence back if you pass all the relevant tests
After bye pass surgery back to normal... - British Heart Fou...
After bye pass surgery back to normal working life possible
Yes u can get your licence back. Yes u have to pass all tests that are relevant and some that are not relevant . It may be restricted to 1,3or up to usual 5 years. But be aware it may take 6-9 months to get it back!!! 😮. The DVLA don't rush themselves in uk.
If u have any other issues following surgery, that can delay the process even more.
Thanks for the information bigt 2013 just take it as it comes with the dvla slow pace
I’m not sure but I think you just need to jump through some extra hoops.
I work offshore, had a quintuple heart bypass last May and I have to have my cholesterol checked(joke) as I’m on statins and I also have to do a Bruce protocol test.
It’s easy.
I have been back to work since Xmas, im a roughneck which is more physical than hgv driving. I also now cycle upto 58 miles every other day. So whatever people say life can go on.
Good luck
