Hi I was diagnosed with AF a couple of years ago. I take a low dose of bisprolol. Recently I blacked out following a coughing fit ended up breaking my nose. I was due to have a manipulation on it but the aneasthetist was concerned about cause of blackout suggested possible heart issue. Consultant cancelled op and referred me to cardiologist.
I was getting some periods when I found I was getting short of breath with pain going into shoulder and jaw.
Should I be concerned and just wait for appointment to see cardiologist which could be months.

I would be pushing for an early appointment with the Cardiologist. You could ring the Cardiologists Secretary and explain your problem and ask if an early appointment can be offered. Having said that if you don't succeed next time you get these symptoms you should call paramedics - don't feel embarrassed or put off it maybe angina but could be signs of heart attack. If symptoms have settled and you have a long wait for an appointment do you have funds to get a private appt with Cardiologist? I know you shouldn't have to resort to that but it's another option.
Although it sounds like the other symptoms could be your heart, and you must get it checked out. You may have had a thing called Cough Syncopy. Not certain of the cause, i.e blood pressure. Don't stand up while having a coughing fit, sit down if you can. I have had this twice but luckily not injured myself.
Yes the consultant said this may have happened and if so fine. Wanted me to get checked with cardiologist. Ibdont know why A E doctor didn't refer me as they did blood tests and ECG although the AF rarely shows on ECG. Thanks for response.
