Howbis everyone feeling lately? I am still undergoing tests as I have been having breathing problems, i had surgery to repair my leaky valve 4 years later im feeling poorly again, anyone been feeling the same after surgery???

Hi Lisa

I was diagnosed 3 years ago with mitral valve regurgitation. Had the repair but it wasn't successful as it caused me the opposite problem to the regurgitation.

I was diagnosed with mitral valve stenosis

Evenctually it wentbrealky bad with tiredness and shortness of breath that 2 months ago I had a mitral valve replacement.

What type of repair they done? If they blocked the floppy leaflet, you possibly have same thing I had.

Ask for a stress eco, that would be a good way of identifying the issue

Hi good morning and thanks for the message, i had a mitual valve repair , it was successful, but been having breathing problems and I'm so tired everyday, also if i lay on my left side i get palpitations. I've had thr echo stress test also done a TOE, they dont know what's up with me yet so still under investigation, they want me to go rehabilitation to see my exercises levels, just hope i get sorted im fed up of feelin poorly, hope ur doin ok amd feelin abit better Rosanna.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that they haven't come up with a solution for your problems.

I am doing better since the valve replacement, still early days but so far so good

They want to check my lungs now to see if there is a problem, its so depressing and stressful, they was going to do the replace but they repaired it, but stil not feeling great,
