Hello Eleanor, sorry to hear that you are worried about your diagnosis, but there are lots of reasons for your condition and lots of help out there! I'm guessing you must be having some symptoms that led to the tests to find out the problem and it might help if you let us know a bit more about it all. I'm sure there'll be someone on the forum who can relate to it (maybe me! I've got a condition that can lead to a dilated left ventricle, but maybe that's not quite the same ). Before you start doing any exercise though it might be best to get some advice from a medic, perhaps the BHF helpline if you haven't got an appointment coming up. Take care x
Thanks... I’ve just been feeling breathless this year and twice had strange clamping sensations in my arms. I’m a fitness instructor so I’m
Concerned if inshoukd carry on or not...
The only thing I can suggest is that you speak to your gp or give the BHF helpline a call. But I think you should find out a bit more before doing sudden strenuous exercise. If they suggested some medication for you I am sure they will ask you back for a review. It's hard to remember everything you need to ask At an appointment but I'm sure the helpline can give some advice! X
