Hello all. I am (just) 59 and have Marfan Syndrome which lead to my mechanical AVR and AV root repair. I also had an unplanned pace maker fitted six days later due to Heart Block after the initial 2 surgery's. I am recovering well and due to go back to full time work in 3 weeks. I am now 9 weeks post op. It has been an unreal experience and I am shocked at the emotional toil the surgery has taken. I hope this forum will further aid my recovery and allow me to maybe aid someone else's. 😊
