Hi

I have Angina so they think. Seeing the consultant on 30th for 1st time. Bit nervous as I have had symptoms for nearly 2years and been ignoring them, didn't want to believe I could have a heart problem. Now worried how bad it might be as can't walk more than 25 yards at normal pace without pain in my jaw and chest feeling like someone giving me a bear hug oh and not forgetting the breathing problems.

Hello and welcome! Sounds very much like angina to me. Had for GP tried you with GTN spray or an anti-anginal like isosorbide mononitrate? My angina started in February 2017 and was cured by a quadruple bypass nearly four months ago. In May despite drugs I had to rest after 20yds. Now getting back to fitness but a way to go yet.

Take it steady for now. If you get pain that is not sorted by rest and the GTN spray then dial 999!

Try not to worry, it never solved anything. You are in good hands. If anything was likely to happen very soon they wouldn't be waiting until 30th.
