So been having issues with chest pain for the last five years, saw my cardiologist today and he has mentioned Brugada Syndrome and that he is referring me to a Dr at Papworth to see what he thinks, obviously he advised not to google it as will only read the worse things but being me I have googled it. Is there anyone on here who is living with this syndrome? Would love to chat and find out what tests will be etc so I am prepared.

I can understand why your cardiologist said don't use Google, but the more information you have the better you can understand this condition, and you are not alone, as there are lots of others living with this, and similar conditions. The one great thing is that they can get on diagnosing you and offer treatment options.
My partner is 57 and has long QT Syndrome which, I think, is similar to Brugada. Unlike yourself he was unaware of the problem until he collapsed last Christmas time. He had two cardiac arrests and a seizure. He had the work in terms of tests, MRI's echocardiogram, cardiac angiography, EEG, genetic testing and a tilt table test. All of these were normal so they only had the ECG to diagnose the cause of his collapses. After spending three weeks in hospital he had a defibrillator implanted. All this may sound dramatic and scary and you may not need any of these tests. It is best to wait and see what the doctor at Papworth says and don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. Should they recommend a defibrillator implant it is a great little devise which would give you complete reassurance that in the very unlikely event that you had a serious arrhythmia it would deliver treatment (a bit like having your very own paramedic with you).
We are now 9 months on and all is well.
Stay in touch if you need to ask anything, or just need a chat.
What happened in the end? I was also told not to google it and I couldn’t resist. I don’t think I’ve have any of the symptoms listed I just feel tired all the time and sometimes my heart feels kinda restless. I did collapse once not blacked out I just couldn’t stand anymore.
