Pacemaker / BPM

Hi There,

Last week I suddenly felt yuk and had to sit down. I took my BP and noted that it had dropped to 95 / something with a BPM of 45.

I took it again and the noted that it had dropped to 87 / something and a BPM of 37.

My Pacemaker is supposed to keep me at 60 BPM and I just wondered if anyone else had had this type of issue?

Hi Hidden

As Hidden said, if your pacemaker is supposed to be keeping you at 60BPM and you have checked your pulse manually and found it to be less than 60bpm then please contact your pacing clinic, and they should check your settings-as they may need adjusting slightly.

Best of luck,

Ashleigh

Thanks for your reply. I thought I would give you an update.

I saw my Consultant yesterday. He reckons the drop in BP was due to the Beta Blocker / diuretic I am on and the lack of heart beats was a burst of ectopic beats (half beats that would not have registered on blood pressure cuff I use).

To fix this I am having my drug regime tweaked
