It depends on what you call "heart problems" - there are many different kinds which all have different symptoms. I have asymptomatic atherosclerosis. which means that I have hardened arteries but with no symptoms. I have had stress tests and no major blockages were found, no heart attacks, no angina, etc . I am 72 and I run 4 times per week and participate in some running events. I believe that there are worse things than dying!!!!! :)

Hi as bazza says It is down to different heart conditions, I never actually new there were so many! And I think age and previous fitness will play a part in it, I have dilated cardiomyopathy and heart failure so no marathons for me me, I can't even walk on the flat now without puffin and blowing, not good but I just have to accept there is not much they can do, take care char xx

Hi and good morning, I am on entresto, bisoperol, ferusomide and spironolactone, the lowest doses unfortunately when they tried to increase them I just couldn't tolerate the increase, it was awful, I so wish I could have because it might have helped a lot, there is not much more they can do re meds I am actually in the process of getting accessed for the transplant list, which is so scary I try not to think about it, I had the last test on Monday that bicycle one, jeezo was I puffin, awful it was, heart failure clinic in two weeks and the results, should find out then what is going to happen re list, the breathlessness had just been gradual over the last 18 months kind of creeped up on me, it's an awful thing, but some days aren't too bad, I hope your consultant can suggest something, mabe change some of your meds, sorry I can't help much, let me know what the consultant says, take care char x
